Aviators To Fly North This Winter

We’ve been a bit quiet on the news front of late, possibly a combination of winter hibernation and preparation for our next performance...

It turns out there was a Festival producer at our Spiegeltent show back in March and they were impressed, offering us our very first travelling gig! So, look out Northern Tasmania - we’ll be packing our suitcases next month to share Squeezebox Cabaret with you at Devonport Jazz Festival.

If you’re not familiar with Devonport’s annual music festival, it’s a jazz-packed weekend of music and entertainment, showcasing a diverse range of styles, a vast selection of musicians - and even includes a dance program for those wanting to get up and boogie, shuffle or groove.

This year, James Morrison returns to headline the popular Friday night event … and then, on the Saturday night, the brand new paranaple Convention Centre will be stretched beyond its known capacity, undergoing a gorgeous, overnight transformation.

Complete with chandeliers and sequin drapes, the resultant vintage nightclub will be the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy a delicious meal and an in-house cabaret, followed by an opportunity to dance the night away with Matthew Ives and his Big Band.

As if that wasn’t enough, a partnership with Lawrenny Estate Distillery contributes to the uniqueness of this paranaple Convention Centre Squeezebox experience, showcasing some of Tasmania’s quality spirits and liqueurs and really making it feel like a prohibition speakeasy.

Sounds like the perfect night out, if you ask us!
